Nearly 10,000 police officers from around the country turned out in the quiet town of Carmel to say goodbye to one of their own. All manner of law enforcement lined the route to St. James the Apostle Church, where Archbishop Timothy Dolan conducted the funeral mass for Det. John Falcone. Many more joined police in paying tribute to the 44-year-old hero, who was shot to death in the line of duty at the Poughkeepsie train station Feb. 18.
